A Portage mom faces up to three years in prison if convicted on charges for allegedly threatening staff at her son’s school.

She said she was upset after learning an investigation into a case involving her son and the school principal showed the principal did nothing wrong.

The 31-year-old mother is accused of swearing and threatening to “shoot everyone” at John Muir Elementary School.

According to the criminal complaint, Murphy accused staff members at the school of being racist.

Murphy allegedly told the school employee she was talking with to Google her and check Wisconsin Circuit Court Access to see her past crimes and what she’s capable of doing.

Murphy faces charges of threatening to injure someone and disorderly conduct.
