TOWN OF ALBION, Wis. -

Dane County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for help in locating the subject of a possible child enticement in the town of Albion, according to a release.

Deputies were alerted Tuesday of an incident that occurred Sunday, according to the release.

Officials said in an interview with a 14-year-old female, she stated she was walking on Lakeshore Drive when an unknown man in a red Chevrolet pickup truck passed her, then turned around and drove towards her.

The man stopped next to her with his window down, made an inappropriate comment to the girl and then continued on, according to the release.

The man is being described as a white male with medium build and a graying goatee and beard stubble, according to the release. The man is estimated to be in his 50s and he was last seen wearing a baseball cap.

The girl also told officials the man was holding a beer can, according to the release.

Even though the man did not make further attempts to coax the girl into his vehicle, officials said they are erring on the side of caution by making the incident public, according to the release.

Officials ask anyone with information on the identity of the man in the red pickup to call the Dane County tip line at 608-284-6900.
