A Missouri mother has been arrested on charges she left a loaded rifle in the crib with her 22-month-old child.

Cheryl Dudley, 37, of St. Peters, faces seven counts of child endangerment and one count of child abuse.

Police were called on Monday when neighbors spotted the baby tied to the garage door by a rope, St. Louis TV station KTVI reported.

According to court documents, the home was filled with dog feces, dirt and mold.

All children have been removed from the home, and five dogs also found there have been turned over to animal control.
