BLUE MOUNDS, Wis. -

After 75 years of sharing the world’s largest collection of Norwegian artifacts found outside the country, Little Norway will close its doors for the 2013 season to reevaluate its funding options.

According to its website, the historic site will spend the following months working with advisers and foundations to decide its future, including a possible ownership change. The Dahle family has operated Little Norway for the last five generations.

The site hopes to reopen its doors for the 2014 season. Updates will be posted to its website at www.littlenorway.com. Its online gift shop will remain open.
