Large advertising balloon lifted by thieves

MILTON, Wis. -

Milton police are looking for a large advertising balloon that went missing from in front of the new YMCA grounds.

Police said the ground cables were cut and the balloon was taken from the grounds on Parkview Drive sometime between 9 p.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. on Saturday.

The balloon is 24 feet tall, approximately 12 feet wide and yellow, red, blue, orange and green in color. The balloon had “Grand Opening” affixed to the top yellow portion of the balloon, and has the company name “Big Sky” with a telephone number of 1-800-769-8000 fastened to the black bottom portion of the balloon. An electric motor and light were also stolen.

The balloon has an estimated value of $6,000.
