Five injured in County Highway A crash

Five people were injured in a two-car crash in the Township of Delton at 11:25 a.m.

According to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, a van being driven eastbound on Bunker Road stopped at a stop sign, then drove across County Highway A. The van moved into the path of a northbound car on County Highway A and struck the car.

The van was driven by Frederick K. Dogbatsy, 31, of Menominee, Wis. The  three passengers in the van were Etta Paasewe, 26, of Minnesota, Naomi Jackson, 25, of Minnesota, and Rosemond Tanoh, 27, of Minnesota, a Sauk County sheriff’s report said. All four van occupants were transported to St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo.

The car was driven by Debra L. Hanger, 56, of Baraboo. Hanger was transported to Reedsburg Area Medical Center.

Frederick K. Dogbatsy will be charged with failure to yield right of way from a stop sign.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff's Office.

    More than 1,600 cars stopped by two Madison locations from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, and 27 tons of documents were shredded, a Better Business Bureau representative said. The sites were at SVA Certified Public Accountants, 1221 John Q Hammons Dr. and Warner Park, 2930 N. Sherman Ave.
