Dying Kentucky grandma an Instagram sensation

She's known as Grandma Betty. And she probably has way more Instagram followers than you.

Zach Belden, 18, started the Instagram account for his 80-year-old great-grandmother Betty Simpson as a way to keep friends and family updated on her battle against lung cancer.

The Kentucky woman is in the final stages of her illness.

But that hasn't stopped her from posing for "selfies" and filming videos of herself dancing to pop songs like Pharrell Williams' "Happy."

As of Wednesday morning, she had more than 275,000 followers.

"I just can’t believe it," Simpson said in an earlier video when asked what she thought of reaching 23,000 followers. "And I think a lot of them. I love 'em."

Williams even gave Simpson a shout-out for her "Happy" video, asking his fans to get her to 100,000 followers.

"All the love and support on her Instagram account brings a smile to her face as she fights cancer. Happiness is a human right. Let's keep @grandmabetty33 smiling," he wrote.
