A mama bear is caught on camera pulling her cub to safety from a highway in British Columbia.

Alberta resident Ricky Forbes was driving in Kootenay National Park when he noticed the stranded cub on the side of the road dangerously close to traffic.

Its concerned mother looked out over the highway from behind a concrete barrier.

Forbes pulled over and filmed the mama bear eventually grabbing the cub in her mouth and pulling it over the barrier to safety.

A sibling was apparently peeping over every now and then to watch the rescue, too.

"It was an amazing thing to see," Forbes told the Daily Mail.
