Authorities ID man killed in Cottage Grove crash

COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. -

Authorities identified the 44-year-old man killed in a crash between a car and a semi in Cottage Grove Thursday morning. 

The Dane County Medical Examiner said Scott A. Carviou, of Cottage Grove, died as a result of injuries he suffered in the accident. 

Police said Thursday the car Carviou was driving crossed the center line on Highway N headed south and collided with a northbound semi.

Police Chief Chris Hughes said alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the accident.
