Rock County Sheriff's Office phones down Saturday

JANESVILLE, Wis. -

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is warning citizens that its landline telephones will be down Saturday.

The phones are undergoing a system upgrade and as a result of the maintenance, the landlines will be down from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 23, according to a statement. The outage will not affect the 911 Communications Center.

The office is urging those who need to contact the office to call 608-290-0411.

    The 34th annual CrazyLegs Classic 8K Run and 2-mile Walk Saturday raised money for UW Athletics. As of Friday night, 13,000 people had signed up to participate, and organizers expected more to register Saturday morning before the race begins in waves at 11 a.m.

    WINNERS: Pat Jenkins, 24, of Cambridge, is the top finisher in the men's category. UW law student Jessa Hackman, 24, of Madison, is the top female finisher.
