MADISON, Wis. -

A robber took OxyContin and other pharmaceuticals from a Walgreens pharmacy Saturday, according to Madison police.

Police were called to the Walgreens at 3710 E. Washington Ave. at 5:40 a.m. for a report of a robbery.

Investigators said the man demanded drugs from a pharmacist, and didn't display a weapon.

A police dog tracked the robber from the Walgreens to a parking lot at the corner of Anderson Street and North Stoughton Road, and police said they believe the robber got into a getaway car at that location.

The robber is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 190 to 200 pounds with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark waist-length jacket, blue jeans and a baseball-style cap.

A Delavan man was arrested last week in connection to a series of pharmacy robberies involving the theft of painkillers.
