A woman pushed past an 80-year-old Madison man and burglarized his home Saturday afternoon, according to police.

The victim told police the woman came to the door of his home in the 5100 block of Camden Drive at about 3:30 p.m. and asked to use his bathroom.  He turned her down and she pushed her way in and took the victim’s wallet, according to police.

Some of the victim’s family members were arriving as the woman fled, and provided police with a description of the woman and the van she was driving, along with license plate information.

Police said they found the vehicle in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Milwaukee Street a short time later.  Police said the Lakisha L. Thomas, 30, of Cottage Grove initially denied wrongdoing, but later turned over the wallet and some of the stolen cash.

Thomas was arrested on suspicion of burglary and resisting an officer.  Police said more charges are possible.
