Officers responded to Lion’s Quick Mart at 104 E. Racine St. at 5:55 a.m. for a holdup alarm.

Police said a man entered the store, demanded money and left on foot before an officer arrived. No weapon was displayed.

A Rock County deputy located a man, Nicholas D. Hughes, 25, walking without a coat. Police later arrested him on suspicion of robbery and a probation hold.

Police said the money taken in the robbery was recovered.
