MILWAUKEE -

Gov. Scott Walker said there are no perfect solutions to preventing a repeat of last week's mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school.

During an interview with Charlie Sykes on WTMJ radio Tuesday, Walker said it will take several weeks to get a true answer on what led to the killings at Sandy Hook Elementary, where a 20-year-old gunman killed 20 children and six adults before taking his own life.

Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry said he supported allowing teachers and administrators to carry concealed handguns. But Walker said any politician who provides a simple answer at this point is jumping to conclusions.

The governor said early intervention for those with mental health issues and access to community-based care are matters that need to be addressed.
