Arnold "Arnie" Endres

Arnold "Arnie" Endres, age 84, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Apr. 19, 2013.

He was born on Feb. 23, 1929, in Martinsville, son of Isidore and Elizabeth (Niesen) Endres. Arnold married Marlene Simon on Oct. 24, 1957, in Martinsville.

He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW #7591 and the Operating Engineers #139.

Arnold enjoyed playing cards, loved the Badgers, Packers, and was a die-hard Yankees fan. Most of all, Arnold loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Arnold is survived by his children, Gary Endres, Dean (Jean) Endres, Jeanine (David) Colson, Lynelle (Gary) Wojtowicz, Bradley (Regina) Endres, and Kari Ann (Aaron) Bottjen; and grandchildren, Alissa Sullivan, McKenzie, Kylie, and Mason Endres, Melanie and Kayla Colson, Arnold, Diana, Matthew, and Kristin Wojtowicz, and Derrick and Bridgette Endres.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marlene; grandson, Kyle Endres; and siblings, Ann, Raymond, Werner, Mary, and Dorothy.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Arnold will be celebrated at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Apr. 25, 2013, with the Rev. Paul Ugo Arinze.

Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
