Milwaukee, WIS. -

For the third year in a row Mount Horeb fell 2-0 to Waukesha Catholic Memorial in the Division 3 state girls soccer championship.

Catholic Memorial scored in the 9th minute when Cristian From scored off the corner kick.

Mount Horeb played great defense but they gave up another goal in the 53rd minute when Nicole Piette found Jo Rolli for the goal.

The Crusaders super star Emily Cervantes, who scored four goals in the semifinal, was held scoreless.

Mount Horeb settles for the silver ball for the third year in a row.

This is Waukesha Catholic Memorial's third straight title and seventh overall.

The Vikings finish their season with a 13-7 record.

"They know what they have done for the program. To play in the state final three straight times, for our program is a really big deal. We need a lot of things to go right but the girls put a lot into the game and they just came up a little bit short today," said Mark Newman, Mount Horeb head girls soccer coach.

"We worked out hearts out, Tess out there, we had her on Cervantes, and we didn't want her to score and of course that didn't happen, Cervantes was scoreless. We were just proud we went out there and worked our hardest.  It's really exciting to be here and that's what I want. Next year we are going for the gold ball," said Mount Horeb junior Lilly Iverson.
