Milwaukee man charged with 5 counts of theft

MADISON, Wis. -

A Milwaukee man has been charged with five counts of theft after stealing cell phones and selling them on Craigslist, according to a release from the Attorney General's Office.

Keith Smith committed five thefts in which he approached women and stole their cellphones from their hands, according to the criminal report.

According to the release, Smith is also accused of selling the stolen phones on Craigslist.

A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 12.
