Mike Vanden Heuvel

Mike Vanden Heuvel, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 3, 2013.

He was born on November 14, 1979, in Madison, the son of Rick and Deb (Heintzkill) Vanden Heuvel. After graduating in 1998 from Verona High School, Mike received his culinary degree from MATC and his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Upper Iowa University.

His degrees allowed him to work in both the culinary and accounting fields. Mike enjoyed street hockey, kickball, board games, cards, and making any situation into a game.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his brother Tom and his wife Kelley; their sons Drew and Jack; his sister, Amy Vanden Heuvel and many other relatives and great friends.

Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2013.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at BLACKHAWK CHURCH, 9620 Brader Way, Middleton, at 11 a.m. with visitation preceding at 10:00 AM and lunch to follow.

Memorials will be used to support various drug treatment programs. Mike was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
