MIDDLETON, Wis. -

Middleton police are looking for a man suspected of stealing items from a vehicle in June, according to a release.

The theft occurred on June 23 between the times of 6:45 and 8:45 p.m. at Lakeview Park in Middleton, said Steve Britt, Middleton Police Department sergeant.

Britt said a woman left the driver’s side door of her vehicle open and reported an iPod, her wallet and other miscellaneous items stolen.

Britt said police tracked charges on the woman’s credit cards made before 10 p.m. the night of the theft.

The thief racked up charges on the woman’s credit card at an Exxon station, a Qdoba, and a Walmart where managers were able to pull video of the man, Britt said.

Middleton police ask anyone that can identify the thief to call Detective Travis Kakuske at 608-824-7320.
