MADISON, Wis. -

Three people who allegedly attacked a McDonald's employee and stole money from the restaurant's cash register were arrested Monday, according to a release.

Police said the three people were recognized by staff members at Ho-Chunk Gaming as being suspects in the McDonald's incident. Staff members called police and the three suspects were arrested.

According to the release, the restaurant manager was burned in a scuffle Jan. 15 after an angry customer ordered two young men to attack him.

The Madison Police Department said Nicole P. Gordon, 39, was trying to get a refund at the Park Street McDonald's Jan. 15 at 4:43 p.m. using a receipt from another restaurant.

Gordon became belligerent, berated the 27-year-old manager and ordered her "sons" to come in from the car and attack the man, police said.

Two young men, Travers D. McDaniel, 19, and Julian R. Parks, 21, came in from outside, hopped the counter and knocked the manager to the floor, punched him and tried to hit him with a pot full of coffee, according to the report. The pot broke and splattered hot coffee onto the victim's arm, burning him.

One of the young men also grabbed a handful of cash from an open cash register as he ran out, according to the report.

Gordon faces tentative charges of substantial battery - party to a crime and disorderly conduct. Parks faces tentative charges of substantial battery and was also arrested on a retail theft warrant. McDaniel face tentative charges of substantial battery, criminal damage to property and theft.
