Marvin "Bud" W. Harris, age 80, of Janesville, died on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at home. He was born in Knapp, WI on Nov. 23, 1933, the son of Marvin F. and Viola (Rightman) Harris. He served in the U.S. Army and had been a Janesville resident most of his life. Bud married Marlene O'Meara in 1957 in Dubuque, IA, and had been employed by Gillman Engineering, Fairbanks Morse, and owned Harris Excavating.
Bud is survived by his wife, Marlene Harris; 2 children, James Harris of Tampa, FL and Catherine Hedgecock of Janesville; 4 grandchildren: Andrea (Kyle) Kussmaul, Gage Harris, Katie Hedgecock, and Jennifer Hedgecock; 2 great grandchildren, Tressin and Tiana; 4 brothers: Dick (Annie) Harris, Bill Harris, Bruce (Carole) Harris and John (Patti) Harris; sister, Marval Underwood; many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bonnie; son, Steven; and daughter, Lori.

A Time of Sharing will be celebrated on Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the family home at 443 N. Grant Avenue. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
