MILWAUKEE -

Milwaukee may have recorded its first heat-related death of this week's heat wave.

The Milwaukee County medical examiner's office is investigating the death of a 28-year-old man as possibly heat-related.

The man was pronounced dead just after 7 a.m. Wednesday at a home in Milwaukee. He had a core body temperature of 104 degrees.

An autopsy is scheduled Thursday.

The National Weather Service says temperatures in Milwaukee hit 95 on Tuesday and 90 on Monday and Sunday. The heat index Tuesday was 101.

A spokeswoman for the City of Milwaukee Health Department says Milwaukee recorded five heat-related deaths during a hot spell in mid-July.
