MADISON, Wis. -

Two days after the Pizza Extreme near campus was robbed, police released two surveillance images and asked for the public's help identifying the man pictured.

Police are trying to find the man who got away with an undisclosed amount of cash Tuesday night.

The robbery happened in the 1600 block of Monroe Street around 10 p.m.

According to the report, an employee was in the kitchen preparing to close the restaurant when he heard a noise up front. He walked to the front of the store and found a man inside pointing a handgun at him.

The man asked for money before ordering the employee to the back of the store. The man made the employee lie down on the floor before taking off with the money.

Police said the man is described as black, in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and carrying a handgun.

On Thursday afternoon, police asked anyone with information about the armed robbery to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
