TOWN OF BLOOMING GROVE, Wis. -

Dane County deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery Sunday morning, according to a release.

Dane County sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Cottage Grove Road near Sprecher Road in the Town of Blooming Grove, according to the release.

Officials say two men entered the victim’s house through the service door of an open garage after the victim walked to the end of his driveway to talk to two females about a vehicle he had for sale.

After speaking with the women, the victim went into his house where he was confronted by the two men already inside, according to the report.

Officials say the two men demanded money from the victim and hit him in the head with a handgun.

The victim gave the two men his wallet and they left on foot through the backyard toward the area of Maywick Drive and Sprecher Road, according to the release.

Deputies established a perimeter around the scene and a K9 track was conducted from the scene through the property to Maywick Drive where the track ended, according to the release.

Officials say the suspects most likely left in a vehicle from there.

The two male suspects are described as black males, approximately 6 feet tall, clean shaven, and were last seen wearing dark baseball caps and nylon jackets. The two females are described as black females in their mid to late 20s with straight hair, medium build, and were last seen wearing colorful skirts and blouses.

The victim was injured during the robbery but refused medical attention at the scene, according to the release.

Officials believe this was an isolated incident and there is not a danger to the community.

The incident remains under investigation and officials ask anyone with information to call the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Tipster Hotline and 608-284-6900.
