Man attacked while meeting seller to buy electronics

MADISON, Wis. -

A 22-year-old Madison man was punched by two men as part of an attempt to rob him when he went to an apartment basement with the intention of buying electronics from a man he never met, according to a release from Madison police.

The victim told police when he went to the apartment in the 1100 block of Moorland Road Thursday night with his friend they found the supposed seller there with another man and woman. The two men punched the victim and attempted to take his money.

A resident called police and the two men and woman fled.

One of the men id described as white, 20-23 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall with an average build and weighing 140-150 pounds. He had green or hazel eyes, blond hair worn in a buzz cut and was wearing a red sweater-style shirt and black pants or sweatpants.

The other man is described as black, 20-25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a stocky build and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a light blue letterman-style coat with brown or tan leather sleeves and a baby blue baseball cap.

The woman is described as white, 19-23 years old, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 foot 3 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds with long brown hair worn below her shoulders and glasses. She was wearing a dark zip-up hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
