GREEN BAY, Wis. -

Three Madison Mallards pitchers combined to give up five runs in the sixth inning last night on their way to an 8-3 loss at Green Bay Wednesday.

The loss snaps the Mallards two game winning streak on the road.

Mallards starter Cody Peterson of Madison College had the lead entering the sixth, but he wasn't able to get out of the inning. Neumann got tagged with the loss, and is now 0-1 on the year.

Joe McCarthy led the Mallards in his season debut by going 3-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored.

The Mallards return home Thursday night to play the Green Bay Bullfrogs. Verno's Custom Tattoo Night is Thursday's promotion. Free, full color Mallards tattoos will be available before the game and fans can register at Verno's Tattoos for full tattoos. Temporary tattoos will be provided for the first 500 kids.
