MADISON, Wis. -

The group Disability Pride Madison held its first-ever Disability Pride Fest at Brittingham Park on Saturday.

Organizers said about 200 people came to enjoy art created by area residents living with disabilities.

Event coordinators said they want people with disabilities to be proud of what they can offer the community.

"If you see people doing positive things, you expect positivity from them," said Jason Glozier, disability rights and services specialist with the city of Madison. "And we're hoping this builds some visibility for people with disabilities."

Disability Pride Madison was supported by Dane Arts, among other organizations.
