FALL RIVER—Lucille L. Berndt age 87, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at her home. She was born on August 28, 1926 in Fox Lake to Paul and Clara (Born) Winters. Lucille was a 1944 graduate of the Fox Lake High School where she was the class valedictorian.

She was married to Willis Berndt on June 13, 1946 in Fox Lake. Lucille was employed at the Fall River Foundry for 20 years. She enjoyed trips to the casino and was a badger fan. Lucille loved the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fall River.

Survivors include her husband, Willis of Fall River; three daughters, Barbara Berndt of Fall River, Paula (Greg) Krivanek of Fond du Lac, Laura Selje (Greg Reichhoff) of Fall River; two sons, Russ (Jane) of Fall River and Bill (Barbara Janke) of Fall River; nine grandchildren, Robin Berndt (Chris Gretzinger), Ryan (Sarah) Berndt, Eric Krivanek, Andy Krivanek, Megan (fiancé Keith Erickson) Selje, Sean Berndt (Samantha Jaynes), Derek Berndt, Anthony Berndt, Jeremy Berndt; two great granddaughters, Mackenzie Krivanek and Leslie Berndt; a brother-in-law, Jerry Mullin of Fox Lake; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Floyd and Arnie Winters; one sister, Betty Mullin; a grandson, Justin Selje.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at ST. STEPHEN’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Fall River. Rev. James Bolda will officiate.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Church or the John C. Brossard VFW Post 2219, Fall River.
