Kimberly teacher honored at All-Star game

KIMBERLY, Wis. -

A Fox Valley teacher will be among educators honored during the All-Star pregame ceremonies in Minneapolis.

Eric Vander Loop is one of 30 winners selected by fans nationwide who voted online at AllStarTeachers.com. Vander Loop teaches 5th grade at Woodland school in Kimberly. Vander Loop earned one of the top spots and will represent the Milwaukee Brewers.

Vander Loop also coaches Kimberly High School's baseball team. He says he's always loved baseball, which has helped him as an educator and a parent. Vander Loop tells WLUK-TV that he's humbled and honored to be able to walk onto Target Field Tuesday in a Brewers jersey.
