Kenneth W. Strohbusch

STOUGHTON/ JANESVILLE---Kenneth W. Strohbusch, age 90, of Stoughton, formerly of Janesville and Clinton, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Skaalen Home, Stoughton.

He was born in Aztalan, WI, on May 28, 1923, the son of Wilbur and Isabella (Kluck) Strohbusch and graduated from Jefferson High School. Ken served in the US Air Force as a Technical Sergeant during WWII flying 50 missions in a B24 Liberator in the European Theater of Operations. Upon returning from service, he graduated from Milton College with a degree in Music Education and later from UW Madison 1950 with a Masters degree in Music. He married Ramona A. Foss on June 3, 1945, at St. John Lutheran Church, Jefferson. Ken was band director for several years in Clinton, Madison, and Mosinee. He later became the Regional Car Distribution Director at General Motors. He retired in 1980 after 27 years. Ken and Ramona moved to Florida in retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona; 2 children, Michael Strohbusch of Buffalo, WY, and Cynthia (Jay) Richardson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; 5 grandchildren: Bradley (Danielle) Cychosz, Becky (Scott) Giese, Brett (Jill) Berg, Sara Berg, and Alyssa Strohbusch; 4 great grandchildren: Brody, Aiden, Morgan and Tyler; 2 sisters-in-law, Diane (Reuben) Ring and Mary Strohbusch; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Strohbusch.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the CHAPEL of MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK, Janesville. Rev. Mark Petersen will officiate and interment will follow. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the CHAPEL.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are requested to the National MS Society.
