Keith J. Sorenson

Keith J. Sorenson passed away on July 18 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Keith was born on December 3, 1929 in Janesville and married Joan (Bauer) Sorenson on November 4, 1961. He worked for Kohls Food Stores for 35 years until his retirement in 1992. Keith began as a meat cutter, eventually moving up to department manager and finally territory supervisor for the meat and deli departments. Shortly after retiring he started his second career as a courier for Burkhalter Travel Agency, where he continued to work until his passing. In his free time he enjoyed gardening, traveling, following Packer football and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie V. Sorenson (father) and Hazel E. Sorenson (mother).

He is survived by his wife, Joan (Bauer) Sorenson; his children, Sandra (Charles) Wagner (Janesville, WI), Gary Sorenson (Edgerton, WI), Carol (Bart) Musil (Woodbury, MN) and John (Julie) Sorenson (Lewisburg, PA); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his brother, Vaughn (Eileen) Sorenson.

Private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Ronald McDonald House of Madison.
