Kathryn "Katie" A. (Richardson) Maly, 79, Middleton, passed away January 12th at UW Hospital with her loving husband and daughter at her side after having a massive stroke.

Katie was born on April 3, 1934. Katie enjoyed a 60 year marriage with the love of her life Paul. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was something she cherished. Katie was a breast cancer survivor. Spending time on the Wisconsin River provided a lot of wonderful memories for her and the entire family. She loved cheering on the Badgers and Packers. Watching the birds wait in line to use their two bird baths, was something she looked forward to each spring.

She is survived by her husband, Paul. Their children Steve, Dave, Mike Maly and Diane (David) Timm. Grandchildren Nicole, Bryant, Connor, Christie, Griffin, Paige, Michael and Jacob. Her brothers Gordy (Debbie) and Ralph Richardson, sister-in-law JoAnn Richardson and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Agnes (O'Brien) Richardson and infant sister, Agnes. Her brothers Joseph, Jim, Eugene, Leo and Walter Richardson. Her sisters Mary Kahl, Margaret Miller and Frances Baverly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Av e., Middleton at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2014 with Father Ken Frisch presiding. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.
