Jerome B. Hesseling

Jerome B. Hesseling, 87, of Potosi, WI passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Sat. March 1st at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Tennyson, WI with Father Dick Leffler officiating. Friends may call from 9:30am until time of service at the church. Military rites will be accorded at the church. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Jerome was born on Sept. 26, 1926 in Bay City, MI and adopted by Henry & Lena (Rupp) Hesseling. He married M. Adele Patzner on Nov. 11, 1947 at St. Thomas Church in Potosi, WI. He has lived in Potosi for over 80yrs. Jerome worked for the Grant County Highway Department. He was also a WWII Air Force Veteran with the European Theater Army of Occupation. He was a member of the American Legion Post #473 in Potosi, WI. Jerome was a dedicated outdoorsman. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends; he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jerome is survived by his loving wife of 66yrs, Adele; 8 children: Jerome Jr.(Joan) Hesseling of Lakeville, MN, Jean Wilkinson of Santee, CA, Judith (William) Kaiser of Hazel Green, WI, Jeffery (Cindy) Hesseling of Potosi, WI, Jane (James) Stelpflug of Lancaster, WI, Joyce (Terry) Seng of Platteville, WI, Joseph Hesseling of Madison, WI and John (Lori) Hesseling of Dubuque, IA; 21 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that all donations be made to Hospice of Dubuque.
