MADISON - Jennifer Anna Lodde died peacefully with her family by her side, on January 6 2014 at Agrace Hospice as the result of an aggressive brain tumor.

She was born March 19, 1946 in Milwaukee to Ralph Lodde and Helen Zunker Lodde. A proud "Army Brat," she graduated from Kaiserslautern High School in Germany in 1964. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received her BA in German and her MA in Linguistics. She retired from UW-Madison Memorial Library in 2008. Jennifer was a talented writer, watercolorist, and flower gardener. In 1989 she was awarded a Wisconsin Arts Board Fellowship for her short fiction. Jennifer's life revolved around her family and her artistic endeavors. Everything she did was imbued with her loving, generous, and creative spirit.

She is survived by her beloved husband Diccon Fiore, her siblings Peter (Ilene), Theresa (Charley), Phillip (Cindy), Beth (Rodney), her nieces Michele, Julie (Chris), Lauren, Allison, Eric, Anthony, and Nick, her great nieces and nephews Leo, Angela, Oliver, and Brett, her Aunt Rainy, Aunt Elly, Uncle Paul, Aunt Fran, her mother-in law Rachel, sister-in-law Justine, brother-in-law Cris (Valerie), and her many dear cousins and friends.

Jennifer's family would like to thank her caregivers at UW Hospital and Agrace Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The UW Carbone Cancer center or Agrace Hospice.

A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held on Friday, January 10th at Noon at the Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Visitation before service will be 10am - Noon.
