Gunshots cut softball games short

BELOIT, Wis. -

A report of gunfire near two high school softball games in Beloit resulted in the games ending early on Tuesday, according to police.

Sun Prairie varsity and junior varsity teams were playing Beloit Memorial at Krueger Park when the shots were fired nearby, according to Beloit police.

The game was suspended and not resumed.

No one was injured.
