Giuseppe "Beppe" Perna

Madison – Giuseppe “Beppe” Perna, age 84, passed away at home on Monday, July 29, 2013.

Giuseppe was born in Florence, Italy in 1929. He graduated from The University of Siena Medical School in 1957. It was there he met Renee de La Chapelle, a visiting graduate student of art. Giuseppe and Renee were married in Sister Bay, WI in 1958. Dr. Perna practiced medicine at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Student Health Center for 36 years. He dearly loved his family, friends, the Green Bay Packers, and his Sauk County farm. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Renee; two sons, Carlo (Teresa) Perna and Leo (Kelly) Perna of McFarland; two sisters, Carla and Angela of Italy; grandson, Dominic Perna and granddaughter, Siena Perna.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., with Msgr. Charles Schluter officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
