WAUNAKEE, Wis. -

Zach Gaugert and Jason An share the lead after the first round of the Madison Men's City Golf Championship.

Both fired a 2-under 70 in the first round at Meadows of Six Mile Creek in Waunakee. Gaugert knows the course very well since he played for Waunakee. He is a current Marquette golfer.

Middleton's Blake Jens is in third after shooting at 1-over 73. Three players are tied at 74.

Friday's round is at Blackhawk Country Club.  Odana Hills hosts Saturday's round and the final round is at Maple Bluff.

The Madison Men's City Golf Tournament began in 1934.  This is the 76th year.
