Three new breeds will debut at this year's show, as well as a new category for mixed breeds.
The first are rat terriers, pictured here during a press conference last week in New York.
Portuguese Podengo Pequenos will also make their debut at the 138th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
Chinooks are the third new breed that will be competing.
According to Westminster, dogs in the Terrier Group have won the annual show the most -- strutting their way to the coveted Best In Show 45 times.
Dogs in the Sporting Group, like these golden retrievers, have won 19 times.
Working Group dogs, such as this Newfoundland, have won 15 times.
Dogs in the Non-Sporting Group, such as this bulldog, have won 10 times.
Toy Group dogs, such as the Chihuahua, have won 10 times.
Dogs in the Hound Group have won just five times in the show's history. Shown here is a beagle.
Dogs in the Herding Group have won the fewest number of times, taking home Best in Show just once. Shown here are two German shepherds.
