Donna's Cranberry Peach Sauce

Cranberry Peach Sauce

This is a beautiful bright red flavorful sauce that can be served on the side with chicken, turkey, or pork

  • 4 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 1 envelope (2 teaspoons) unflavored gelatin
  • 1/3 cup Grand Marnier (orange liquor)
  • 1/2 cup Splenda or sugar to taste
  • 2 medium fresh peaches, peeled and diced

Wash and sort cranberries. In a large saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil and continue boiling gently for 5 minutes or until cranberries have popped. In a small custard cup, combine gelatin and Grand Marnier. Stir and let sit a minute. Add to cranberry mixture. Continue to cook for 1 more minute to dissolve gelatin. Taste and add extra Splenda or sugar to suit your taste. Add peaches.

Place in a bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
