Donald M. Biederman

MONONA-Donald M. Biederman, age 93, of Monona, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 27, 1920, in Amherst, Wis., the son of August and Caroline (Graner) Biedermann. He married Helen Albrecht on Nov. 8, 1941, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Marshall, Wis. Donald was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after working for over 20 years. Donald’s passions were hunting, fishing and visiting the cottage in Mercer. He loved to travel with his wife Helen.

Donald is survived by his wife, Helen of 72 years; his son, Steven (Mickey) Biedermann; his daughter, Wanda (Rodney) Maass; grandchildren, Traci Maass, Tina (Dale) Small, Laura (Fran) Pilon; four great-grandchildren, Kathryn and Alayna Small and Kierstin and Edward Pilon; and many loved family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Christopher P. Maass and Aaron J. Biedermann; and siblings, Edward, Louise and Bernice.

Funeral Services will be held at MONONA EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4411 Monona Dr, Monona, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park following the service. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Monona Evangelical Lutheran Church.
