MADISON, Wis. -

A Lancaster woman was sentenced Monday to two years of probation and fined $1,000 for bankruptcy fraud, according to a U.S. Department of Justice release.

Bonnie Block, 55, pleaded guilty to the charges July 22.

Block filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 7 of the U.S. bankruptcy code and claimed she had disclosed all of her assets in her bankruptcy petition under oath on May 19, 2011, according to the release. The United States Trustee discovered that Black had not disclosed $10,750 in a personal checking account on the day she filed for bankruptcy protection.

Officials said when asked about the personal checking account, Block lied about how she spent the money.
