Deerfield and Potosi had their seasons end in the semifinals of the WIAA State Baseball tournament in Grand Chute Wednesday.

In Division two, Deerfield took a 1-0 lead on Westby on an RBI single by Blake Ehrke in the fourth inning, but that would be the only run the Demons would score in the game.

Westby scored single runs in the fourth and fifth to take a 2-1 lead and ended the game when shortstop Alex Robson made a diving stop on Sean Erickson's line drive to get a force out at second.

Deerfield ends its season with an 18-5 record.

In Division Four, Potosi fell behind 5-0 in the first inning and never recovered. The Chieftains lost to Lake Country Lutheran 12-0 in six innings in the semifinals.

Potosi got only two hits off Lake Country Lutheran pitcher B.J. Sabol who struck out 13 batters in a complete game performance.

Potosi ends its season with and 18-8 record.
