Clarice Weissenberger

Clarice Weissenberger, age 96 of Westby, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her home. She was born on October 11, 1916 to Adolf and Mathea (Solberg) Brenden. Clarice was a faithful member of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church and the W-ELCA.

She is survived by her three children: Judy (Clyde) Ballsrud, Richard (Diana) Weissenberger and Nancy (Peter) Roehl; nine grandchildren: Trisha, Sara, Kristine, Todd, Bradley, Carolyn, and Jeffrey, Daniel and Michael; 19 great-grandchildren; three nieces: Joyce (Jerry) Soffa, Jennifer (Peter) Kingslien and Leslie (Curtis) Bakkum; two nephews, John (Karn) Appleman and Peter (Corrine) Appleman; numerous relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Alvin Brenden, Alma Appleman, Alverda Riese, Stanley Brenden and Dr. Virgil A. Brenden.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with burial in the Vang Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday at church after 10 a.m. Online condolences may be offered at www.vossfh.com

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be directed to Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
