MADISON, Wis. -

Christel A. Elliott, age 54, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at her home.

She was born on July 19, 1959, in Superior, the daughter of John D. and Rita A. (Bregenzer) Elliott. Christel graduated from Middleton High School in 1978. She had the heart of a poet and artist. Christel was kind and thoughtful; she loved her nieces and nephews and all children. She also loved music and singing. Some of her most favorite times were the summers she spent with her grandparents in Northern Wisconsin.

Christel is survived by her mother; sisters, Candelle (Mark) Phillips of Ashton and Carmelle Elliott of Madison; brother, John (Robin) Elliott of Madison; niece, Jessica Elliott; and nephews, John Paul Elliott and Codi Phillips. She was preceded in death by her beloved nephew, Mathew Elliott; grandparents, Edward and Anna Bregenzer; and by her father.

Funeral services will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, with Father Brian Dulli presiding. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Ashton. Visitation will be held GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
