Calvin V. Appleman, 82, of La Farge died Friday, March 28, 2014 with his loving wife by his side. He was born June 20, 1931 in Webster Township the son of Cortland and Elizabeth (Knapp) Appleman. On April 21, 1951 he married Bernadine Steinmetz in Dell. Calvin hauled milk and worked for Webster and Forrest Townships. He loved to play cards especially euchre.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bernadine; Three children: Delores Appleman, Gary Appleman, David (Marla) Appleman all of La Farge; Two grandchildren, Aaron Appleman of LaCrosse Brittany (Brett) Donovan of La Farge, Three brothers and sisters, Margaret Olson of Hillsdale, Marjorie Nemec of La Farge, Kenneth (Wilma) Appleman of Melrose; Best friend Maggie the dog; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Maggie (Delbert) Hall, Henry (Phyllis) Appleman, Mabel (Fay) Dickau, Mary (Lawrence) Hadley, Phillip Appleman and infant sister Marilyn.

A private family funeral was held at the Seland Huston Funeral Home of La Farge. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
