Cab driver robbed at gunpoint, officials say

MADISON, Wis. -

A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint Friday night around 11:50 p.m. on Madison’s south side, according to a release.

A man approached the cab driver and asked to get a ride to Moorland and Fell roads, according to the release.

Officials said when the cab got to the location the man told the driver to go farther and turn left on Fell Road.

The driver stopped the vehicle and immediately felt a handgun on her cheek, according to the release.

Officials said the driver gave up her wallet and other items

According to the release, the man fled the area and a K-9 track was completed but the he was not located.

The robber is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing dark baggy clothes and a baseball cap.
