Budget: Walker hush-hush on vetoes
Updated On: Jun 21 2013 05:06:15 PM CDT
Gov. Scott Walker is staying mostly quiet about what he may veto in the state budget that cleared the Legislature early Friday morning.
It's almost certain he won't mess with his top priorities, including a $650 million income tax cut, expansion of private school vouchers, rejection of a federally funded Medicaid expansion and a tuition freeze at the University of Wisconsin.
However, beyond those points, Walker isn't saying much.
Some areas that could be in jeopardy are items the Legislature added that weren't in Walker's original budget proposal.
One could be creating a bail bondsman, or bounty hunter, program, something the Legislature approved two years ago but Walker had vetoed.
