MILWAUKEE -

Rickie Weeks, Aramis Ramirez and Scooter Gennett hit home runs as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Colorado Rockies, 7-4 at Miller Park Thursday night.

The Brewers scored three in the first as Weeks hit a solo homer off Rockies starter Christian Friedrich (0-2), and Ramirez followed with a two-run homer.

Colorado took a 4-3 lead in the top of the fourth when Ryan Wheeler hit a grand slam off Wily Peralta.

But the Brewers regained the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth.

Jonathan Lucroy hit a ball to the centerfield wall that hit the glove of the Rockies' Drew Stubbs.  Weeks scored on what was a long single for Lucroy to make the score 4-4.

Later in the inning, Khris Davis' sacrifice fly scored Ryan Braun to put the Brewers ahead for good, 5-4.

In the bottom of the eighth, Gennett hit a two-run pinch-hit homer- a day after hitting a grand slam against the Washington Nationals.

Peralta (9-5) went 6 innings allowing four runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts.

Francisco Rodriguez pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 26th save.

The Brewers moved their record to 49-32 which is the best record in franchise history at the halfway mark of the schedule.
