Brewers bring back K-Rod

The Brewers have signed free agent relief pitcher Francisco Rodriguez to a one-year contract for the 2014 season.

Rodriguez, 32, was originally acquired by the Brewers in a trade with the New York Mets in July, 2011 and was the Brewers closer for parts of 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Rodriguez pitched 134 games with Milwaukee and has a 7-8 record with a 3.15 ERA and 13 saves.

In his major league career with the Angels, Mets, Brewers an Orioles, Rodriguez is 41-36 with a 3.70 earned run average. He's 21st all-time in saves with 304.

Rodriguez still holds the major league record for saves in a season with 62 for the Angels in the 2008 season.
