MADISON -

The Wisconsin Badger men's basketball team is ranked eighth in the latest Associated Press men's basketball poll released Monday.

The Badgers are off to an 8-0 start and play at Virginia in the Big Ten-ACC challenge Wednesday night. If Wisconsin wins, it'll be the 300th victory for Bo Ryan as Badgers' head coach.

Michigan State remains the number one ranked team in the country.

Marquette was ranked 25th last week, but the Golden Eagles fell out of the rankings and didn't receive any votes this week.  Marquette plays at Wisconsin Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
